Book #24

The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck is our next bookclub choice:

With our newest book selection, not only do we have another author to add to our ever-growing list, but we also have a news celebrity. Glenn Beck hosts his own primetime television show on CNN, as well as a talk show, The Glenn Beck Program. Why might this book, one that happens to be based on a “deeply personal true story”, have waterworks potential? Grab your kleenex box – we’re about to find out for ourselves.

This book is rather short with 16 chapters in 273 total pages. Let’s divide the book in half with 2 discussions:

Yep… I’m all in for *A Dog Named Christmas*! You just say the word. :o)

Oh, and…. I got a step ahead on this one, *The Christmas Sweater*. But, you already knew that. Sorry. ;o)

  2. @Dory – So now I need to catch up to you & @Becca. Wait for me, please? (My fear is that this one is so good that you both finish in one sitting… 😮 !)

  3. maksbestfriend says:

Not a chance I am finishing it in one sitting. I will be lucky to get to the stop point by tomorrow afternoon…lol..hubs is on vacation..

  4. @I finished ch 8 last night. How far along is everyone else?

  5. maksbestfriend says:

I am just starting Chapter 7 this morning. What do you think of this book?

    • If I’d really known Glenn Beck a little more, it might be more interesting to me. It’s hard to know how the events affected his life and what the sweater signifies. I’m just so sad for him… what a tragic childhood.

  6. maksbestfriend says:

You need to watch his show on CNN sometime. He tells it like he sees it. No BS, no spin. Just his honest opinion.

  7. maksbestfriend says:

I am up to Chapter 9. I am ready when you and Dory are.
