Book #16

Meet Me in Venice by Elizabeth Adler is our next summer bookclub selection:

Our bookclub has never before featured an Elizabeth Adler novel, and yet we are hopeful that the author’s style will capture our interest. Perhaps we’ll enjoy this selection enough to add another one of Ms. Adler’s novels to our list? We shall see!

This time, we’re looking at 374 pages covering 79 (!) chapters. The discussions are divided into @25 chapter segments:

I just started Chapter 24….yes I know, slap me! 🙂 These chapters are not all that long!

  2. @Becca! Ok, listen to me closely… put the book down and no one gets hurt. 😉 No really, I’m way behind after a long day out consulting. Right now I’m starting ch 4, but I’ll get more reading done in the next hour. I will catch up to you soon… wait for me!

  3. Becca says:

Ok, Brenda, I will step away from the IPod. It is really cool to listen to! What a book!

  4. Now I’m on ch 7… yes, please do step away from the iPod, @Becca! Much appreciated. 🙂

  5. Becca says:

Guess what came in the mail today?

Two books from Mr. UPS man!

Suburbanistas and What Do You Do All Day?

And I got a copy of Sugarland’s new CD called Love On The Inside…I am rocking out to it while Mitch is in yet another phone meeting, he says that he can hear something, but I don’t have hear him chat his co-worker up… 🙂

  6. @Becca – Excellent! Those novels look GREAT, and I cannot wait to get started on both. And you got a CD to top it off. Very, very cool indeed. 🙂

  7. Becca says:

Are we going to use one of those two books as a choice? 😉

  8. @Becca – I think we should… eenie-meenie-minie-moe. *thinking*

  9. maksbestfriend says:

I am up to Chapter 56.

What a good book! I am so glad that we picked this book!

  10. Still on ch 23 here, mostly because I haven’t read a single page today. Not that I didn’t want to – it’s just a backlog of work that’s keeping me away. It is really a good read so far though, agreed.
