Did you know this Liz Tuccillo was a writer for HBO’s hit series Sex and the City? It’s true! And if this summary is any indication of the adventure in store for us by reading (or listening to) her debut novel, we are so in for a treat.

I finished this book today while reading poolside. It was a good read; however, the “love” theme really did get old after a couple hundred pages. Julie’s refreshing discoveries on the theme while traveling around the world pulled me along and kept me reading, but scenes with the sad, lonely single women became a real drag after awhile. Tuccillo wrapped up Julie’s findings nicely at the end, but what she found was nowhere near earth shattering.
My rating: 7.5 on a 10 scale.
