Check your hotmail account when you get a chance, please, thanks!

@maksbestfriend – Checked it, and I’m just now finishing chapter 6. Keep an eye out tomorrow for ‘Discussion 1′ status. Between school conferences, strings rehearsals & cleaning house, I’m struggling to keep up this week. Good thing we chose a better read this time, or else I might’ve been ranting by now.
Thanks for the nudge!

Hey no worries. Mitch is working from home today, so he had meetings and I got to listen a lot. I even backtracked to where I fell asleep!
Aren’t I a good little reader bee? Take your time. I have other stuff I can be reading while I wait!
October 16, 2008 at 9:33 pm |
@maksbestfriend – You’re the best reader bee of all.
I’ve added more ‘To Reads’ on Shelfari, so maybe you can take a peek and see if you’re interested for future selections? CG & I stopped by B&N tonight, hence the updates. I was good and only took notes this time. *miracle!*

I saw your shelf and left you a message! I am going to be adding a few more books in a few minutes. I am not nearly as self controlled as you were I am afraid. But I did get one that might be nice to read over Christmas, I think.

@maksbestfriend – I’m very interested in the Christmas book that you posted. Let’s plan on it! BTW: Timeline has been updated.
October 18, 2008 at 9:17 pm |
I’m currently midway through ch. 9, so all hope is not lost on me in keeping up with the revised timeline. Stay tuned!
October 20, 2008 at 9:30 pm |
Yes, I finally made it through ch. 11 and will be posting the first discussion tomorrow, 10/21/08. Who will be ready to post?
October 20, 2008 at 10:52 pm |
Me, I wonder if it is just the two of us again?
October 21, 2008 at 7:58 am |
@maksbestfriend – I was really hoping for more readers to join us but haven’t heard from anyone else yet. Maybe someone will pop in and surprise us? It could happen! *fingers crossed*

Status: currently on ch. 20 – this is a fast read! Where are you in the book?
October 23, 2008 at 9:52 pm |
OMG now I am behind you. I stopped on chapter 13. BUT…Mitch has to go in very early tomorrow morning, so I am on my own with hot chocolate and muffins and the IPod, so I should catch up with you in a matter of hours. Wait for me?
Sorry!

Catching up…I am up to Chapter 18…just started it.

October 24, 2008 at 2:48 pm |
I just started Chapter 24. This is a fast listen when I am trying to stay distracted.
October 24, 2008 at 3:04 pm |
I just finished Chapter 24. I will wait for you to start a discussion when you are ready. Told you that I would catch up to you!
October 24, 2008 at 4:06 pm |
@maksbestfriend – Great! I’m still on ch 20 but will catch up soon. Will give you the ‘heads up’ when discussion 2 is live.
Today I went to Barnes & Noble and picked up 3 more books: Balancing in High Heels by Eileen Rendahl, It’s About Your Husband by Lauren Lipton, and She, Myself & I by Whitney Gaskell. Lots of reading on my trip, so I’m all set!
October 29, 2008 at 12:21 pm |
@Chicken Lit’ers – I just finished reading the book this morning. Not saying a word – but I did like the ending. How far along are you? Ready for discussion #3 soon?
October 29, 2008 at 1:09 pm |
I am almost finished. I have 1 hour and 12 minutes left to listen too and I will be finished. How are you coming Dory?
October 29, 2008 at 10:06 pm |
I finished the book this evening. Loved it!
October 30, 2008 at 3:14 pm |
@Dory & @maksbestfriend – I’ll go ahead and post discussion #3, mostly because tomorrow is going to be super busy with re-packing for my trip home. If you’re done, please stop by and post a comment. Also, I’d like for us to pick book #21 soon, so any/all suggestions are most welcome.
October 30, 2008 at 3:33 pm |
What if we let Dory throw the next one out to us if she would like to since she is the new member? I am game for anything as you can tell from our ever growing list!
October 30, 2008 at 3:51 pm |
@maksbestfriend – Excellent idea!
@Dory – Got any book ideas for #21? If you have more than one, I can post a poll and we can vote. What do you think?
