November 8, 2009 at 1:18 am |
I have Hope In A Jar, but not the second book. I need to catch up to you in KTS!
November 8, 2009 at 9:57 pm
I’ll add it to our list now that we’ve both got HIAJ. Where are you? I’m starting ch 5 after reading during orch rehearsal tonight.
November 8, 2009 at 2:44 pm |
Guess what I just found on Audible? And it is read by Uma Thurman!! Maneater! Got it!
November 8, 2009 at 9:58 pm |
How amazing is that? And on the cover of my book, it says, “Now a Lifetime Mini Series Event… premieres May 30th”. I wonder if that was 2009? Could be interesting if we end up liking the book!

November 10, 2009 at 2:32 pm |
I am in the middle of chapter 5…have a lot going on the next two days with Alan moving I might be a little slower than normal catching up..I apologize.
November 10, 2009 at 3:36 pm |
No problem, @Becca. I understand completely. I’m in the middle of ch 7 but won’t charge ahead too quickly. And no spoilers – I promise!
November 12, 2009 at 11:37 am |
Good morning! I started chapter 8 last night. I have to do better on the reading!
November 12, 2009 at 12:32 pm |
Good morning right back at you, @Becca! I’m just finishing ch 9. What do you think about this book so far?
November 12, 2009 at 1:03 pm |
Love it, but when is that different from any of her other books, but Catherine is annoying me.
November 12, 2009 at 2:48 pm |
Exactly, and I love it too! Catherine is annoyingly self-centered. :/ What bothers me is James’ presumptive holiday planning for Dakota – shouldn’t he have consulted with her before buying plane tickets? Now everyone is making poor Dakota out to be anti-family just because she wants to forge ahead with starting her career. Totally unfair.

Just started chapter 9. Nathan has reentered the pictured. Oh man is he a creep of the first order.
November 13, 2009 at 10:31 pm |
Nathan needs to GROW UP! Why do I think he will this time around?
November 13, 2009 at 10:30 pm |
finishing ch 14 with cat treating my bookmark like a cat toy. Just a wee bit distracting, but I’m really enjoying the flashback in this chapter. =^..^=
November 14, 2009 at 1:12 pm |
Good morning. Started chapter 11 last night, hoping to get more read by the fire today. It is only 34 here!
November 15, 2009 at 5:53 pm |
You finished? Now I am going to have to get cracking to get it finished. I am so far behind!
November 16, 2009 at 8:37 am |
Yes, I finished yesterday and loved it! Will post my final review under the Book 51 post. Where are you in the book right now? On a side note, I’ll be receiving Sarah Palin’s memoir tomorrow. Interested?
November 16, 2009 at 2:50 pm |
As much as I would like to say yes to this one SP is not at the top of my reading list. She is everywhere these days, and it is overkill for me. I am in ch 12 of KTS. I am going to go and curl up with it!
November 16, 2009 at 2:58 pm |
Understood! Hey, I just found Andre Agassi’s memoir on my doorstep today. LMK if you want to read this one, otherwise hubs and I are going to trade off on it.
November 16, 2009 at 5:23 pm |
Why don’t you go ahead and read them and I will catch up for the next book? I am ch 13 now, I have to be more dedicated to reading!
November 16, 2009 at 8:05 pm |
Sounds like a plan – I’m already almost done with Agassi’s first chapter and CAN’T. PUT. IT DOWN.
